HSN Inc. has hired Anne Martin-Vachon as the TV and web retailer’s chief merchandising officer. She starts May 14 and reports to CEO Mindy Grossman. HSN is No. 26 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
Martin-Vachon comes from department store chain Nordstrom Inc., No. 34, which hired her in April 2010. She worked at Nordstrom as chief marketing officer, according to her LinkedIn profile. Before that, she was CEO of Lise Watier Cosmetiques, a beauty supplies retailer, from 2008 to 2010. She also was chief marketing officer for retailer Bath & Body Works LLC, and vice president, global cosmetics and innovation, total beauty marketing, for Procter & Gamble Co. She worked at Procter & Gamble for 21 years, from 1985 to 2006.
Martin-Vachon’s responsibilities at HSN include product development, pricing and category expansion, along with overseeing the retailer’s merchandising strategy.

At the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition, Timothy Peterson, chief marketing officer and cofounder of LocFree.com, will speak in a session entitled “Attracting and retaining talent in a competitive marketplace.”
