LeadSpend, an e-mail marketing service provider, has hired Ali Swerdlow as the company’s first vice president of channel sales and marketing. She will be responsible for communications and client growth and retention, and report to CEO Craig Swerdloff. LeadSpend’s tools help companies deliver e-mails to valid consumer addresses.
“When you have the opportunity to hire someone as talented as Ali, you hire them as quickly as you can and figure out the role later,” Swerdloff says. “Ali has built a tremendous reputation in the e-mail marketing industry, with a large network of people who understand her integrity and knowledge.”
Swerdlow comes to LeadSpend after six years as director of the Direct Marketing Association’s E-mail Experience Council. While there, she oversaw sales and marketing, the group’s newsletter, partner relations and speaking engagements.
Prior to her work at the DMA, Swerdlow held e-mail analyst positions at OgilvyOne Worldwide and Ogilvy and Mather. She also served as a senior manager at Surrex Solutions Corp.
