Two-year-old MTailor has garnered millions in sales for its custom-made shirts, all via its app.
The parent of Lane Bryant and other apparel brands promotes Bryan Eshelman.
Charming Shoppes Inc., which operates such women’s apparel brands as Lane Bryant, Cacique, Catherines and Fashion Bug, has promoted Bryan Eshelman to executive vice president, chief supply chain officer. Charming Shoppes, No. 132 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, hired Eshelman in 2010 as senior vice president, operations.
Eshelman retains his previous duties of overseeing technology, logistics, technical design and quality assurance. His new job comes with such responsibilities as directing the retailer’s global direct sourcing from buying offices in such locations as Hong Kong and India, and ensuring supply chain compliance with trade and customs regulations.
Eshelman continues to report to president and CEO Anthony M. Romano. “During his tenure at Charming Shoppes, Eshelman has driven dramatic improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations and is working on a number of strategic initiatives that will help us maximize results and drive profitability,” Romano says.
Charming Shoppes says that it has hired Donna Isralsky as senior vice president, strategic sourcing. She reports to Eshelman. She has held similar positions at Williams-Sonoma Inc., No. 25 in the Top 500 Guide, and other companies.
