Sears’ m-commerce site ranked first in overall mobile performance testing by Gomez.
Sears’ mobile site, m.Sears.com finished with the best composite score among large web retailers for mobile performance in October, says Compuware Gomez. Gomez tests 15 large retailers every month for mobile response time, availability and consistency on four mobile devices: Apple’s iPhone on AT&T, Sprint’s HTC Hero, T-Mobile’s HTC Dream and Verizon’s Droid.
Last month, m.Sears.com produced an average mobile response time of 3.32 seconds, an availability score of 99.76% and an average consistency score of 3.15 seconds, giving the retailer the best average across all four mobile devices for all three statistics.
The mobile sites for Amazon and Newegg finished tied for second in the July mobile rankings. Amazon posted an average response time of 3.78 seconds, an availability score of 99.64% and an average consistency score of 2.75 while Newegg posted an average response time of 3.63 seconds, an availability score of 99.67% and an average consistency score of 3.03. QVC and Williams-Sonoma finished tied in fourth place.
