QVC’s m-commerce site ranked first last month in overall mobile performance among large retailers.
QVC’s mobile site, m.QVC.com, finished with the best composite score among large web retailers for mobile performance in July, says Compuware Gomez. Gomez tests 15 large retailers every month for mobile response time, availability and consistency on four mobile devices: Apple’s iPhone, Sprint’s HTC Hero, T-Mobile’s HTC Dream and Verizon’s Droid.
Last month, m.QVC.com produced an average mobile response time of 2.29 seconds, an availability score of 99.53% and an average consistency score of 1.92 seconds, giving the retailer the best average across the four mobile devices for all three statistics.
The mobile sites of Amazon and Newegg finished tied for second in the July mobile rankings. Both sites posted average response times of 4.61 seconds and availability scores of 99.58%, while Amazon had an average consistency score of 3.31 and Newegg posted a consistency rating of 3.77 seconds. Dell and Williams-Sonoma tied for fourth place.
