Revenue increased 11.9% in Q1 of 2015, to $17.26 billion compared with $15.42 billion in the year-ago period.
New chief marketing officer David Zucker also worked at web and TV retailer HSN.
Vitacost.com Inc., an online retailer of health and wellness products, said today it has hired David Zucker as chief marketing officer. Zucker held the same position at Gilt Groupe Inc. until he left the flash sale retailer last month. He replaces Sonya Lambert, who left Vitacost for unspecified reasons.
Vitacost is No. 90 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Gilt is No. 49.
At Gilt, Zucker oversaw, among other areas, the retailer’s efforts to gain new members through social media and mobile marketing, Vitacost says. Prior to Gilt, he worked as global director of customer relationship management and implementation at Dell Inc., No. 4 in the Top 500 Guide, from 2006 to 2009. He also held executive positions at TV and web retailer HSN Inc., No. 26 in the Top 500.
