“Our teams across all three regions – North America, Europe and Australia — continued to execute and posted very strong results once again this quarter,” said ChannelAdvisor President and Chief Operating Officer David Spitz. “Highlights of the quarter included our strongest results to date in Australia and substantial growth among our existing customer base as retailers add new channels to enhance their e-commerce presence.”
“We also saw a big uptake in multi-national expansion among retailers as they increasingly recognize the benefits of multichannel e-commerce on a global scale. With our presence across three regions, we’re well-positioned to support retailers on multiple products globally,” added Spitz. “Speedo and Maidenform are perfect examples of brands that we support in multiple regions – US and Europe.”
Throughout the second quarter ChannelAdvisor also experienced significant growth in industry sectors such as apparel and automotive--sectors that grew at a rate of 35 percent year-over-year according to ChannelAdvisor Q2 same-store sales--adding many new customers to its list that currently includes noteworthy retailers such as Ford Motor Company, Dooney & Bourke, JD Williams and Savile Row.
ChannelAdvisor’s strong growth trajectory is reinforced by its recent recognition as the top vendor to IR 500 retailers. The 2011 Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide ranks the 500 largest web merchants in North America based on annual web sales, and ChannelAdvisor is the most-listed vendor in the guide for the Marketplaces and the Comparison Shopping Engine channels. - For Comparison Shopping Engines, ChannelAdvisor powers 50 percent more of the IR 500 retailers than the next vendor and is even more commonly used than in-house solutions
- For Marketplaces, ChannelAdvisor supports four times as many retailers as the next vendor
ChannelAdvisor powers more than 3,000 retailers globally, including some of the largest, most successful retail brands such as Dell, Victoria’s Secret, Under Armour, Staples, Crocs, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Jos. A. Bank, Urban Outfitters and more.
