Last month, the retailer had the most consistent site loading time with a variation of 0.48 seconds. Dell.com (0.69 seconds), placed second in Internet Explorer tests and was followed by OfficeMax.com (0.76), Overstock.com (0.81) and QVC.com (1.05).

Dell.com had the best Firefox consistency score in May, Compuware Gomez reports, with an average variation of 0.50 seconds. OfficeMax.com (0.71 seconds), OfficeDepot.com (0.87), Overstock.com (0.91) and LLBean.com (1.30) rounded out the top five.

The consistency ratings take into account differences in the speed of web page delivery across multiple visits.
