John Shea will seek to sign Fortune 100 clients for the search marketer.
The Rimm-Kaufman Group, a search engine and social media marketing firm, said this week it had hired John T. Shea at its vice president of strategic accounts, a new position. Shea will seek to sell the firm’s services to Fortune 100 companies and oversee the agency’s expansion in the Boston area.
Shea comes from Google Inc., where he was a senior agency sales associate. During his four years there, he worked on Google’s business development efforts with search marketing firms, including Rimm-Kaufman. Prior to Google, he was a financial data analyst for Tudor Investment Corp.
“As our agency representative at Google, John recognized and valued the integrity with which we approached client relationships,” says George Michie, co-founder and CEO, of Rimm-Kaufman. “John has great understanding of the online advertising eco-system, and his experiences working with the largest online advertisers in the world will serve him well in this new role.”
