Newegg posts the top Internet Explorer response time

Dell and L.L. Bean tied for the best April response times in Firefox testing.

Newegg.com and LLBean.com produced the best high broadband access times among 18 large web retailers tested in April, according to Compuware Gomez. Last month, Newegg.com posted the fastest Internet Explorer response time with an average load time of 0.68 seconds. Dell.com and LLBean.com led last month’s Firefox.

Dell.com also finished second in April Internet Explorer tests at 0.83 seconds, followed by LLBean.com (0.91), Williams-Sonoma.com (1.04) and CDW.com (1.19).

Dell and L.L. Bean shared the lead in Firefox response time with an average of 0.78 seconds. Williams-Sonoma.com (1 second) came in third and was followed by Walmart.com (1.07) and OfficeDepot.com (1.11).

In April, the average large retailer’s high broadband response time for a shopper using Internet Explorer was 1.76 seconds, the Compuware Gomez study shows. The average Firefox response time among the same group of retailers last month was 1.69 seconds.
