Web Analytics Demystified Inc. has hired Wendy Greco as executive director of the consulting firm’s Analysis Exchange. The exchange is the firm’s philanthropic arm that provides advice to nonprofits and non-governmental organization about how to use data from Google Analytics, a free service from the search engine that offers statistics about web site visitors, such as how long they stay.
Greco has worked for various nonprofits and also as a technology consultant at Accenture, a management and technology consulting firm. In her new job, she will coordinate the activities of more than 1,000 web analytics professionals around the world who contribute to Analysis Exchange. The unit has provided web analysis for such organizations as PBS, whose e-commerce operation is No. 417 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide and Charity:water, which helps fund the drilling of wells in 17 countries.
“The Analysis Exchange makes it easy to undertake some research into your online activity and provide insights that can impact your bottom line,” says Paull Young, director of digital for Charity: Water.
Web Analytics Demystified also says that Jason Thompson, senior consultant at Numeric Analytics, and Emer Kirrane, manager of web analytics at Yahoo Web Analytics, will serve as community liaisons for the philanthropic effort.
