Digital sales generate 55% of HSN’s overall sales, and the retailer is looking to new platforms, such as Facebook Live, to acquire customers.
Another private-sale site debuts, this one for premium children’s clothes.
Add another entrant to the increasingly crowded field of members-only e-commerce sites.
This week Luxe Commerce Inc. launched LilLuxe.com for parents who want to buy premium apparel, shoes, toys, bedding and other products for babies, toddlers and children as old as seven. Luxe Commerce says it will offer discounts of up to 70%.
“We recognize that parents desire to have superior and fashionable items for their children but do not want to pay exorbitant prices,” says CEO and founder Deap Ubhi. “With LilLuxe.com, parents are able to purchase products from trustworthy and top-of-the-line brands, while saving money.”
The site features such brands as Kid Republic, Magnolia Bay, Sonia Rykiel and Tea Collection.
“We love the idea of being able to offer selections of our modern and wearable children’s clothing on premier buying club sites,” says Leigh Rawdon, co-founder and CEO of Tea Collection. “It’s an amazing way for us to share our globally inspired designs with new audiences.”
Luxe Commerce will announce the site’s sales via an e-mail newsletter sent in the mornings to members. Sales begin at 8:30 a.m. Pacific time and last for 72 to 96 hours.
