Sellers say they are faring particularly well on the marketplaces of Amazon and Wal-Mart so far this holiday season.

Davis, who will oversee Rue La La’s day-to-day operations, comes from GSI, where he had a variety of jobs since 2000, including executive vice president, international. He also helped create TrueAction, GSI’s full service interactive agency.
Melnitsky worked as executive vice president, North America, for Tumi Inc., an online and bricks-and-mortar retailer of suitcases and related gear.
