Overstock.com ranked first in Internet Explorer availability tests among large retailers for September, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. Last month, online shoppers using Internet Explorer could access the apparel and accessories retailer’s site 100% of the time. Apple.com, HPShopping.com and Staples.com tied for second place with an average availability of 99.98%, while CDW.com followed with 99.94%.
VictoriasSecret.com (99.93%) had the highest availability percentage in Firefox testing last month. CDW.com (99.62%) ranked second, followed by Apple.com and Dell.com (tied at 99.61%) and Amazon.com (99.60%).
The Internet Explorer average availability for the top 20 retailers in September was 99.73%, Gomez says. The same 20 retailers produced a Firefox average availability of 98.75% last month.
