Casual Male expands its product offerings into a new shopping channel
The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. is selling men’s big and tall apparel on its e-commerce site under an agreement with Casual Male Retail Group Inc. Product offerings include sportswear, outerwear, shoes and accessories.
“The agreement with Bon-Ton allows Casual Male to expand its product offerings into a new shopping channel,” says David Levin, president and CEO of Casual Male Retail Group. “The arrangement will not only offer a meaningful merchandise assortment for Bon-Ton’s male big and tall customers, but will also give Casual Male exposure to Bon-Ton’s customers, who are typically female.”
Bon-Ton operates 277 department stores and web sites under the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers brands.
“We’re very excited about our strategic alliance with Casual Male, a leader in men’s big and tall apparel,” says Bud Bergren, president and CEO of Bon-Ton. “Their dominant position in this important niche market will allow us to offer our customers hard-to-find sizes in a wide variety of basic casual wear and sportswear.”
