The high-end fashion retailer is piloting beacons in three stores, using the mobile technology to send shoppers directions to in-store events.
Tony Pecora comes from an accounting and financial services company.
He previously worked as chief marketing officer at WorkingPoint, which sells accounting and financial management services to small businesses. He oversaw customer acquisition and brand and market development. Pecora also has worked at eBay Inc., Monster.com and Become.com.
Pecora will report to Peter Elarde, Shutterfly's senior vice President and chief marketing officer. “His extensive experience in creating strong marketing programs at a variety of like-minded, customer-centric organizations is a valuable asset as we continue to deepen Shutterfly's relationship with our current customers while reaching out to new and growing audiences,” Elarde says.
