PowerReviews experiences a 51% increase in new PowerReviews Enterprise clients

The company provides customer reviews technology and services.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PowerReviews (www.powerreviews.com), a leading provider of award-winning social commerce solutions, is experiencing unprecedented growth year-to-date, as reflected in customer wins, hiring, international expansion, and widespread adoption of its innovative new product releases.

“Facebook Onsite goes beyond the ‘Like’ button by bringing the Facebook experience to the retailer’s site. This opens up new opportunities for retailers and brands to leverage the Open Graph to drive customer loyalty and sales.”

"Retailers and brands are recognizing user-generated content is core to their social commerce programs, and that they must facilitate conversations among consumers in a variety of mediums if they are to stay relevant," said Pehr Luedtke, CEO, PowerReviews.

"As a result, we are experiencing record growth in the adoption of our products, and our leadership in the space is confirmed by our clients' successes.”

Year-to-date client growth includes a 51 percent increase in new PowerReviews Enterprise clients and a 28 percent increase in PowerReviews Express clients. PowerReviews has also added top talent to its Engineering, Product Management, Operations and Marketing teams, and will continue to hire aggressively through the remainder of 2010 and beyond.

International expansion is another key piece of PowerReviews’ current growth, with the company now providing support for more than 14 languages including French, German, Italian, Japanese, Swedish, and Portuguese.

Client interest in beta partnerships for social commerce product launches has been noteworthy, with a growing number of PowerReviews’ enterprise clients committing to the adoption of Facebook OnSite, the newest addition to PowerReviews’ Open Commerce Suite.

“Our clients are active partners in our commitment to innovation in social commerce, and we’re pleased with the interest and excitement surrounding Facebook OnSite,” said Cathy Halligan, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, PowerReviews. “Facebook Onsite goes beyond the ‘Like’ button by bringing the Facebook experience to the retailer’s site. This opens up new opportunities for retailers and brands to leverage the Open Graph to drive customer loyalty and sales.”

Finally, PowerReviews reports an astounding 39 percent boost YTD in review count on its award-winning consumer-facing site Buzzillions.com, bringing the site’s total number of customer-created product reviews to more than 12 million.

The significance of customer-generated content relative to its sales-boosting capabilities was highlighted in the Internet Retailer’s 2010 Emerging Technology Survey, which revealed U.S. online retailers that offered product reviews and recommendations saw 21 percent higher total sales, 21 percent improved conversion rates, and 15 percent more purchases of higher ticket items. Buzzillions.com powers reviews and recommendations from real product users for over a million products in thousands of categories across PowerReviews’ robust retailer network, including consumer electronics, apparel, sporting goods, health & beauty, and home and garden.
