QVC leads top retailers in iPhone mobile response time

QVC’s m-commerce site had the fastest iPhone access time last month, says Gomez.

QVC’s mobile commerce site, m.QVC.com, gave shoppers the fastest iPhone access time among large web retailers last month, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. In August, m.QVC.com produced an average iPhone response time of 2.04 seconds.

M.Newegg.com had the next best iPhone response time with 2.54 seconds, followed by m.Walmart.com (3.30 seconds), Amazon.com (4.04) and Netflix.com (4.07).

QVC’s mobile site also posted the fastest mobile response times for both T-Mobile’s HTC Dream (3.86 seconds) and Verizon’s Droid (2.12). M.Newegg.com posted the best mobile response time for Sprint’s HTC Hero (2.15 seconds).

Gomez measured response time as the end-to-end time elapsed while downloading each mobile site.
