Apple.com ranked first in high broadband availability tests among large retailers for August, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. Last month online shoppers using Internet Explorer could access the apparel and accessories retailer’s site 99.81% of the time.
The average availability for the top 20 retailers in August was 99.56%, Gomez says. 17 of the 20 retailers tested exceeded last month’s average availability percentage.
Rounding out the top five e-retailers for high broadband availability last month were HPShopping.com (99.79%), CDW.com (99.78%), and Costco.com and QVC.com (tied with 99.77%).
