QVC has named Alex Miller as vice president of e-commerce and e-marketing. Miller, who joined the company in 2001, most recently worked as director of e-marketing.
Miller will oversee the development of QVC’s e-commerce and e-marketing strategies. His appointment comes as the retailer enjoys an uptick in web sales.
QVC, No. 11 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, this month reported that U.S. web sales increased 22.7% for the second quarter ended June 30, to $381.76 million from $311.04 for the same period last year. Total sales for the second quarter increased 4.7%.
Miller also has worked at iGrandparents.com, where he was director of product development, AT&T Corp. and Ernst & Young LLP.
