The search giant today rolled out new ways for marketers to understand the in-store impact of their ads.
The retailer offers the tool to Webs.com members.
CafePress, an e-retailer that sells customized merchandise, has launched a dedicated piece of software it calls the CafePress Shops app. The widget enables members of Webs.com to sell products from their web sites.
Those members can install the CafePress Shops software to sell products from their web sites. Webs.com is a web site building and hosting company that has more than 50 million users.
“You don’t need any technical ability,” says Amy Maniatis, vice president of marketing at CafePress. “The app enables everybody that has a Webs.com site within a click to have a store loaded onto their web site.”
Site users receive 10% of sales from stores that have orders processed and fulfilled by CafePress, No. 120 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Webs.com users can customize and create up to 25 products through templates or downloaded images that consumers can apply to such items as T-shirts, mugs and stickers.
TravelTykes.Webs.com, a site offering kid-friendly travel information, is one of about 1,000 sites that have installed the Shops software since it launched Wednesday. When visitors to Travel Tykes click on the CafePress Shop link, which is on the top navigation bar, they can browse and purchase items such as T-shirts with the site’s name and other phrases.
“Web administrators can adjust the header name and customize background and theme,” says Maniatis. “The types of folks who want to open a shop are people who have content that they want to share with others or products that they want to share with others.”
CaféPress.com offers 300 million products from about 6.5 million sellers on its own site. The customized products are produced at CafePress’ digital print facilities in Louisville, KY, Portland, OR, and Prague in the Czech Republic.
