LivePerson adds four to its executive team

Live chat vendor hires Peter Phillips, a Weight Watchers veteran, as executive vice president.

Live chat technology vendor LivePerson Inc. has added four employees to its management team, including Peter K. Phillips as executive vice president. Phillips worked as senior vice president at Weight Watchers International Inc., where he managed the company’s online division.

Phillips also worked as vice president of product development at ticket services vendor Fandango Inc., supervising the firm’s web site and Fandango’s mobile efforts. Jessica Yi, vice president of product development at Fandango, will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Mobile Commerce Forum Oct. 12-13 in Chicago.

Stephen Douty takes over as LivePerson’s executive vice president of marking and business development. Douty worked as executive vice president of marking for nGenera Corp., where he lead global marking, product development and engineering initiatives for the web software and technology firm.

Mark Tang, former head of global partner programs for Salesforce.com, will work as LivePerson’s vice president of platform technologies and ecosystem.

LivePerson also appointed Steven Schloss as vice president of global human resources. He comes from Time Inc., where he worked as vice president of global people development.

 “These new executives will help lead a period of innovation for LivePerson, where we intend to drive broader brand awareness, introduce new products and expand our technology footprint through a partner ecosystem,” says Robert LoCascio, LivePerson’s chairman and CEO.
