Stats LLC will allow visitors to its online sports channel to purchase products.
Sports information and analysis company Stats LLC will integrate Dreams Inc.’s FansEdge merchandise ads within the sports content it provides media outlets as part of a multiyear contract the companies agreed to Wednesday.
Media outlets will have the option to integrate the ads on their site. If they do, both the media outlet and Stats will receive an undisclosed commission from the FansEdge sale.
The products that will be highlighted in the ads will be relevent to the information the site visitor is viewing, says Kevin Bates, Dreams retail president and FansEdge founder.
“We are delighted to work with Stats and to provide a new revenue opportunity to its hosted solution customers,” says Bates. “This new affiliate program will seamlessly integrate targeted merchandising widgets within their Stats-hosted information, which will provide their clients with a hassle-free way to increase visitor engagement and create new incremental revenue streams, while creating a satisfying user experience.”
The agreement allows Stats to monetize its traffic with relevant offerings, says Greg Kirkorsky, Stats senior vice president of sales. “FansEdge merchandise is the perfect fit in this regard," he says. "We look forward to working with the team and providing top-quality collectibles, memorabilia and sports apparel via Stats-hosted solution.”
