Calendars.com and sister site DogBreedStore.com have added customer ratings and reviews.
Calendars.com LLC and DogBreedStore.com are offering customers a new ratings and reviews feature as they shop the e-retailer’s assortment of calendars, puzzles and gifts for dog lovers.
“We wanted to provide our customers with the opportunity to share their opinions with other customers as well as with us,” says Robert Gilbreath, director of e-commerce marketing. “Research clearly shows that having reviews on a site helps increase conversion rates. Adding this feature is part of our push this year for enhancing our customer-centric marketing efforts.”
Customers are able to assign star ratings and leave brief reviews of products using the site’s technology from Bazaarvoice Inc. Gilbreath says the company sent e-mail messages to 500,000 consumers on its e-mail list announcing the new feature and will promote it on its sites.
Calendars.com, No. 399 on the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, is also launching a new mobile site, m.calendars.com, that will allow shoppers to browse products from mobile devices. In the fall, the company plans to update the site to allow customers to place orders.
The company, which also runs a seasonal business of about 800 “pop-up” physical stores during the holidays, says employees as well as customers will be able to search and order products through the mobile site that may not be available at a store.
