Wiggle, a British Online Bike Retailer, Hires Latitude Digital for SEO

Latitude Digital also will run the retailer's pay-per-click campaign.

Tuesday, July 27--Wiggle.co.uk, the UK's number one online bike shop, today announces they have chosen leading digital agency Latitude Digital Marketing to run their Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns. The deal will see Latitude take over the management of the top 5 online sports retailer's UK PPC program whilst advising on a progressive program of SEO enhancements. Latitude's team of native-speaking experts in over ten countries will work with Wiggle's management to build on the retailer's extraordinary growth in overseas markets.

Martin Talbot, Marketing Director of Wiggle.co.uk who recently joined from Play.com, said of the move: "This was a big decision for us as we aim to build on the capabilities of our in-house team by seeking expertise from an industry-leading partner like Latitude. We chose them because of their focus on performance; they are a very commercially focused business and recognize that conversion and a return on investment is a priority. We believe that their international capability is a good fit for our current business and will support our ambition for the future. Their proven track record of successfully obtaining high search engine positions for retail clients was an important contributing factor to the final decision."

Alex Hoye, CEO of Latitude, added: "Wiggle's approach reflects everything we love about online retail – the complexity of millions of keywords that ultimately results in a satisfying customer experience. We are thrilled to partner with Wiggle.co.uk and work closely with Martin Talbot, who is a big name in the industry. Their growth over the last few years has been impressive and we have identified growth opportunities across the globe. This win builds on our experience of helping pure play online retailers outshine their clicks and bricks counterparts in the search rankings. It's especially exciting to me as I am already a customer and am using equipment bought on their site for the Barcelona triathlon."

This news comes after Latitude recently announced a staff expansion of 10% due primarily to growth in social media, conversion analytics and European market expansion.
