Online sales for J.Jill are growing and hit $228 million for the 12 months ended Oct. 29.
Gap Inc.’s Piperlime.com has teamed with reality TV series “Project Runway.”
Online footwear and fashion accessories store Piperlime has signed up to become a sponsor of Lifetime television network’s “Project Runway” series. The retailer each week will offer exclusive video content from the show, including behind-the-scenes commentary from each week’s winner.
On the new season of the reality TV series, which begins July 29, 17 fashion designers will compete for a chance to design and sell an exclusive collection on Piperlime.com as well as receive $100,000, a magazine spread and other prizes.
“Project Runway captures the heart of fashion lovers everywhere. We cheer on the contestants, watch the celebrity judges and are inspired by the styles,” says Jennifer Gosselin, general manager of Piperlime. “Piperlime is excited to be part of this celebration of creativity.”
In addition, Piperlime, a brand of Gap Inc., No. 23 in the Internet Retailer Top 500, will supply the series’ “Accessories Wall” with fashion accessories which will also appear on the online store for purchase by customers.
