Sales of messenger bags and luggage were especially strong at eBags.com in the past year.
EBags, an online retailer of luggage, handbags, laptop cases and backpacks, posted a 13% year-over-year rise in sales for its fiscal year ended June 30.
The retailer, No. 117 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, said messenger bags and luggage sales rose 26% and 23% respectively. Brands showing strong growth over last year include B. Makowsky, Timbuk2, Samsonite, and Baggallini.
"It's a tribute to the eBags team that we kept our focus and delivered such strong financial performance during a very challenging retail period,” eBags CEO, Vince Jones says. “Our customers continue to respond to our emphasis on providing the best assortment combined with an exceptional customer experience."
EBags.com also announced it now has more than two million customer reviews on its web site.
