Zazzle, an online retailer of personalized products, is turning to sorcerers for sales. The retailer has partnered with movie house Warner Brothers and its consumer products division to sell Harry Potter movie merchandise. Zazzle says most orders will be produced and shipped within 24 hours.
Zazzle, No. 211 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, already markets products from such Warner Bros.' brands as Looney Tunes, Batman, Superman and Scooby-Doo.
Now Potter fans can find their Gryffindor and Hogwarts T-shirts as well as additional products from the movie and book series.
Consumers will be able to customize merchandise with the following:
- Images from the film series, from "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" to "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince."
- Designs featuring characters such as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger.
- Various logos, crests and insignias on a variety of apparel.
- Harry Potter phrases and spells such as "muggle," "alohomora," and "confundo."
Harry Potter designs and merchandise on Zazzle include: T-shirts, bags, hats and posters. Shoppers can access the new Harry Potter store at Zazzle.com/HarryPotter.
Zazzle posted 2009 web sales of $54.84 million in 2009 according to Internet Retailer estimates, up from an estimated $52.22 million a year earlier.
