Lucy Activewear hires a Nike exec as its president

Former Nike Training global director of business development Shaz Kahng is the new president of Lucy Activewear, a brand owned by consumer brand manufacturer VF Corp. Kahng will oversee all aspects of the Lucy brand, including e-commerce and marketing.

Former Nike Training global director of business development Shaz Kahng is the new president of Lucy Activewear, a brand owned by consumer brand manufacturer VF Corp.

Kahng will oversee all aspects of the Lucy brand, including e-commerce, operations and marketing. Lucy sells women’s wear for yoga, gym and other active pursuits in stores and at Lucy.com.

"Shaz Kahng is a proven business leader within the sports industry with significant expertise in retail brand marketing and business strategy,” says Steve Rendle, president of a VF Corp. multi-brand coalition that includes Lucy. “She's ideal for taking the Lucy brand to the next level of growth.”

Prior to Nike, Kahng worked as a retail consultant for several companies, including Wolff Olins, Scient and Kurt Salmon Associates.

VF Corp. is the parent company of The North Face, No. 267 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
