To be successful in mobile commerce, retailers first must consider the specific ways consumers wish to use the mobile channel and then decide which methods to use when engaging customers through mobile devices, says Dave Sikora, CEO of m-commerce technology provider Digby.
Sikora will discuss different mobile scenarios and how to dazzle mobile shoppers at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition, June 8-11 in Chicago, in a session entitled Mobile apps and the ‘Wow Factor’.
“Do retailers want to sell more product? Do they want to help customers find stores and run promotional campaigns to drive in-store traffic? After driving customers to their stores, how about developing new, engaging in-store experiences?” Sikora asks. “It’s critical to get agreement on these mobile use-cases and for retailers to build great experiences that consider the time sensitivity associated with the mobile customer.”
