The Merchant Risk Council, a trade association that focuses on electronic commerce risk and payments, has hired Paul MacKay as program manager and Liz Sundquist as education manager.
MacKay, who has 30 years of retail experience, including 18 with Nike Inc. where he worked in fraud management, will oversee the Merchant Risk Council’s survey and benchmarking initiatives, including its annual fraud survey with CyberSource Corp. He also will head up a council initiative to improve communications between merchants and credit card issuers. He will oversee the Payments Committee and the Merchant/Issuer Forum.
Sundquist, an attorney who has 10 years of training and instructional experience in the software and insurance industries, will be in charge of developing content for the organization’s events and create training and certification programs. She will oversee the council’s Education and Conference Committees.
