Research presented today at the NRF Big Show in New York highlights 2016 holiday findings from popular retailers.
A little more than a year after launching Newegg.ca, the online-only consumer electronics retailer opened a 55,000-square-foot warehouse in Ontario.
Online-only consumer electronics retailer Newegg Inc. has opened its first Canadian warehouse-55,000 square feet in Mississauga, Ontario-a little more than a year after entering the Canadian market, the company says. Newegg supported the opening of the Canadian facility with promotional street team visits to major Canadian cities, offering special deals on the site and also conducting video interviews with passers-by on “cool high-tech products” they’d like to receive as holiday gifts.
Newegg.ca, launched in October 2008, features more than 22,000 computer and gaming products, the company says. The site has basically the same prodcut selection as Newegg.com does, but offers localized promotions and processes transactions in Canadian dollars.
“With the opening of our brand-new facility in Ontario, we look forward to being able to offer our valued Canadian customers an even larger selection of high-quality products, particularly in the consumer electronics realm, competitive pricing and speedier delivery throughout the country,” says Bernard Luthi, vice president of marketing and merchandising.
