Motorbike equipment and apparel retailer revs up site with new features

BTOSports.com, which sells dirt bike and ATV apparel and equipment, launched a redesigned web site with new features including live chat, a home page Flash banner and improved site search.

Motorbike equipment and apparel retailer BTOSports.com is hoping to boost web sales and traffic with its redesigned web site that includes features such as live chat, a home page Flash banner, and improved site search that breaks down searched keywords by brand and price.

“Everything we do has the customer shopping experience in mind: making products easier to find, pictures easier to access, product information more clear and understandable, and checkout procedures easier to navigate,” says Vince Arimitsu, BTOSports.com president.

The company worked with Colorado Springs, CO-based web site development company Sebenza on the redesigned site. In addition to adding live chat by ZaZa Network, the new Flash banner gives the business another tool to showcase new products.

“The banner allows us to have an online "store window" that rotates and shows customers the latest gear, and gives us a nice way to advertise our current specials/deals,” Arimitsu says.

Since the redesigned site launched Sept. 1, Arimitsu says the online store has experienced a 20% increase in traffic. The company did not disclose the specific number of visitors.
