E-commerce technology provider GSI Commerce has named Iain Beveridge vice president of international operations. Beveridge will oversee the company’s international fulfillment and customer services operations in the U.K. and across Europe.
E-commerce technology provider GSI Commerce announced today it has named Iain Beveridge vice president, International Operations. Beveridge will oversee the company’s international fulfillment and customer services operations in the U.K. and across Europe.
“As GSI Commerce focuses on growing its European operations, Iain’s appointment provides a great addition to our strategic expertise across these markets,” says Steve Davis, executive vice president and president international. “With more than two decades experience in the industry, Iain has an unrivalled record in the B2C and e-commerce space having worked for both leading retailers and third-party providers and we are extremely pleased to welcome him to the team.”
Before joining GSI, Beveridge was running his own consultancy business, providing multichannel retail fulfillment consulting to such retailers as Marks & Spencer, asos and John Lewis. Before that, he co-founded MetaPack, a delivery management software company, and was operations director at iForce, which provides logistics fulfillment services to retailers, direct marketers and brand manufacturers in the U.K. Beveridge also has worked at U.K.-based retail chains Bhs, Habitat and Mothercare as well as international parcel carrier FedEx. Additionally, he was distribution director at home shopping retailer N Brown for 11 years before moving into e-commerce and multichannel retail in 1999.
