Sun Microsystems posts gloomy site traffic, but Toshiba surges forward

The top 10 hardware manufacturer retail destinations in April with unique visitors in millions this year and last and growth from prior year, according to Nielsen Online were:

  • Hewlett-Packard Development Company L.P., 20.03, 20.93, 10%
  • Dell Inc., 16.62, 14.74, 13%
  • Sun Microsystems Inc., 3.60, 4.81, -25%
  • Xbox, 2.69, 2.14, 26%
  • IBM, 2.17, 2.35, -8%
  • Gateway, 2.04, 2.10, -3%
  • Sony Computer Entertainment, 1.60, 1.62, -1%
  • Toshiba, 1.55, .845, 84%
  • Garmin, 1.53, 1.51, 1%

Unique visitors count only once each shopper who came to a site, no matter how many times the shopper visited. This is a custom list compiled by Internet Retailer of the top online shopping destinations based on Nielsen Online data. Rankings may contain multiple web sites from the same retailer or manufacturer.
