SmartReply, a mobile marketing company that specializes in voice and text messaging for retail brands, has acquired mSnap, a mobile advertising network also aimed at retail brands.

SmartReply was founded in 2001 and works with retail brands in the U.S. and Canada on SMS text and voice messaging for loyalty, credit, and promotional marketing. Founded in 2006, mSnap has created a text message-based advertising network with more than 1,150 radio, print and cable broadcast media clients, and the ability to reach more than 200 million mobile users, the company says.

“We’re now able to bring to advertisers an immediately scalable mobile advertising network with the best technical platform. We’re delivering solutions that are engaging, while empowering consumers to obtain the most relevant information on their mobile phones,” says Eric Holmen, president of SmartReply. “It’s our mission to make the mobile phone valuable for consumers and advertisers.”
