CEO Sharon Price John says Build-A-Bear’s old e-commerce system is a big reason for disappointing online sales in December.
The automotive aftermarket parts and accessories retailer has named Theodore R. Sanders Jr. chief financial officer. He previously held that post at retailers ViewSonic and PC Mall.
U.S. Auto Parts Network Inc. has named Theodore R. Sanders Jr. chief financial officer. The automotive aftermarket parts and accessories retailer is No. 94 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
Sanders most recently was chief financial officer at electronics retailer ViewSonic Corp. Previously, he was chief financial officer at PC Mall Inc., No. 61 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Prior to PC Mall, Sanders was the controller and director of finance at BAX Global, a subsidiary of The Pittston Co., a global business and security services company.
"Ted`s background is a perfect complement to U.S. Auto Parts," says Shane Evangelist, CEO. "He comes from an organization where he optimized a complex, multi-national e-commerce business model, like ours, and maximized that model within a low-margin industry. I am confident he will excel at coordinating the constantly moving cost thresholds and logistics of drop-ship and stock-ship distribution as he has previously, as well as the variable cost model of off-shore provision of services."
