The ticket seller has launched ProVenueMobile, an m-commerce site accessible via any mobile phone that allows buyers to purchase tickets for concerts and sports events and receive tickets via text message.
Tickets.com is enabling buyers looking for tickets to concerts and sports events to browse, search and purchase tickets from their mobile phones, as well as digitally receive tickets via text messages with bar codes that can be displayed on the mobile phone and scanned by a bar code reader.
The site, dubbed ProVenueMobile, is located at Mobile.Tickets.com and is accessible via any mobile phone with web access. The ticket seller says mobile commerce will help consumers purchase tickets during sometimes brief on-sale periods and end the frustrating process of waiting in line or being put on hold on the phone when they are unable to access a computer to complete a purchase online.
