The e-retailer of customized t-shirts has created Lab Monitor, a tool based on technology from Coremetrics that brings to light potential problems with CustomInk’s online personalization process.
The lifeblood of e-retailer CustomInk LLC is its ability to produce personalized t-shirts for online shoppers. If the customization process on its e-commerce site were to go down, it potentially could lose a lot of customers.
To ensure its customization process is always up, the e-retailer has created a web analytics tool called Lab Monitor using technology from Coremetrics Inc., an analytics and digital marketing optimization solutions vendor. The tool tracks key metrics associated with visitor traffic and other patterns to help identify potential problems in its Design Lab, an interactive system that enables customers to design and print custom t-shirts.
The ability to pinpoint issues early on enables CustomInk to easily solve problems before they affect the customer and the online experience, the e-retailer says. CustomInk is No. 199 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
“If the Design Lab doesn’t load and run properly, customers can’t design their t-shirts and complete their purchases,” says Rachel Jacobsen, marketing analyst at CustomInk. “With Coremetrics and the Lab Monitor we’ve created, I can identify problems with the Design Lab and step in to correct them quickly so customers can successfully complete their product designs and order them.”
CustomInk has used Coremetrics to monitor availability and performance of CustomInk.com since 2002.
