The acquisition expands nGenera’s services, enabling it to offer e-mail, chat and click-to-call features.
NGenera Corp. has acquired customer interaction management software vendor Talisma Corp. Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed. The purchase allows web software and technology firm nGenera to offer Talisma’s customer interaction services such as e-mail, chat, click to call, click to chat and click to talk.
“We’re taking content and processes from (Talisma’s) customer interaction software and mashing them with our Web 2.0 collaboration tools to help companies discover brilliant and new product ideas inspired by their own customers,” says Steve Papermaster, nGenera CEO. “The future of innovation is customer co-creation: talking directly to customers, listening to them, learning from them.”
The new services will be integrated into nGenera’s on-demand service that gives clients access to software hosted by the vendor. Current Talisma customers will not be affected by the acquisition, Talisma says.
