Cresta Pillsbury has been named vice president of business development at the E-Commerce Merchants Trade Association, a group targeting smaller online merchants that sell off on eBay. The group was formed by the founders of the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance, which represents larger eBay merchants.
Pillsbury previously was senior director of business development at ScanAlert Inc., provider of the HackerSafe web site security verification service. Computer security firm McAfee Inc. announced last fall it was acquiring ScanAlert.
“Cresta’s success at building a business network is widely known and her influence and contacts in the online community make her the perfect person to oversee the expansion of E-Commerce Merchants,” says David Topkins, managing director of the trade association.
“The E-Commerce Merchants have developed an impressive reputation for helping and educating small businesses, which is a passion that I share with them,” Pillsbury says. “I am really looking forward to connecting our members with the service providers who can assist them in growing their business.”
