Bazaarvoice promotes tech architect Andy Maag to VP of engineering

Bazaarvoice, a provider of hosted customer-reviews and forms of social commerce technology for online retailers, has promoted chief technology architect and director of development Andy Maag to vice president of engineering.

Bazaarvoice, a provider of hosted customer-reviews and forms of social commerce technology for online retailers, has promoted chief technology architect and director of development Andy Maag to vice president of engineering.

As vice president, Maag will continue to guide Bazaarvoice’s technology team in the development of social commerce applications, including its Ratings & Reviews and Ask & Answer applications.

Prior to Bazaarvoice, Maag was senior research scientist at Trilogy Software, where he developed data-mining algorithms for e-commerce. Earlier, he served as a software developer for Hewlett-Packard Co. and worked in technology positions for Apple Inc. and eBay Inc.
