Silver Creek Systems Inc., which provides technology to standardize product data across trading partner systems, has appointed Vijay Iyer to the newly created position of vice president of strategic alliances. Iyer will focus initially on building a strategy to expand the company’s partnerships with independent software vendors and system integrators.
Iyer, an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in business development and sales, most recently was vice president of business development at ArcSight Inc., a provider of enterprise security management software. Previously, he held sales, sales management and business development executive roles at Sun Microsystems Inc.; BEA Systems Inc.; Informix, which has since been acquired by IBM; Portal Software, which is now Oracle; and Intacct Corp.
