E-commerce sales for nutritional supplement manufacturer and marketer NBTY rose 11% in the third quarter while total sales rose by 8.3%. E-commerce revenue totaled $16.3 million, up from $14.7 million in Q3 2005.

For the quarter e-commerce revenue totaled $16.3 million, up from $14.7 million in Q3 2005. At the same time total sales in Q3 rose to $457.3 million from $439 million in the same quarter the previous year.
The web represented 3% of total sales in the third quarter and the same in Q3 2005. The average order for NBTY, No. 137 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites , increased to $77 from $69.
