Liz Claiborne Inc. has a new group president heading up its direct-to-consumer business, which includes e-commerce. The company has named Jill Granoff as group president, direct-to-consumer. She will be responsible for Liz Claiborne’s specialty retail and outlet stores as well as its U.S. e-commerce sites. Granoff will report to Liz Claiborne president Trudy Sullivan.
Before joining Liz Claiborne, No. 242 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, Granoff was president and chief operating officer of Victoria`s Secret Beauty, a division of Limited Brands. Prior to that, she was senior vice president, strategic planning, finance and information systems for Estee Lauder Inc. Granoff began her career as a management consultant in the strategic planning practice at A.T. Kearney Inc.
"Direct-to-consumer is a significant growth engine for Liz Claiborne, accounting for 25% of our total revenues in 2005,” Sullivan said. “Our goal is to drive this number to 29% in 2006.
