Strong demand for upper-end merchandise is driving web sales at Neiman Marcus. In Q3 e-commerce sales increased 31% while total sales rose by 10%. The web accounted for 9.5% of sales in the quarter vs. 7.9% a year earlier.
Neiman Marcus Group Inc. is reporting strong web sales for the third quarter: e-commerce sales increased 31% while total sales rose by 10%.
For the quarter Neiman Marcus, No. 37 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, posted web sales of $96.7 million on total sales of $1.02 billion, compared with e-commerce revenue of $74 million on total sales of $933 million in the third quarter of 2005. Web sales accounted for 9.5% of sales in the quarter vs. 7.9% a year earlier.
For the first nine months of the year, Neiman Marcus is reporting total web revenue of $310 million, an increase 33% from web sales of $233 million for the same period in 2005.
