Conley to oversee digital media for American Greetings Corp.’s new intellectual properties development unit, American Greetings Properties.
American Greetings Corp. has appointed Paul J. Conley as vice president, digital media, at American Greetings Properties.
The company says Conley’s appointment reflects the division’s commitment to using new media to launch properties and promote existing brands. Among his responsibilities, Conley will oversee American Greetings Properties’ web sites and develop sites for new properties. The division’s existing web sites include sites for its Care Bears line, Strawberry Shortcake, Holly Hobbie and Holly Hobbie and Friends. New or relaunched web sites are in the works for additional properties.
Conley also will manage outbound licensing for interactive categories such as mobile, video games and other digital platforms, and develop a b2b site as a sales and marketing tool in support of the division’s growing outbound licensing efforts.
Most recently, Conley served as vice president, online advertising for AG Interactive, American Greetings’ new media subsidiary. He joined AG Interactive in 1999 as a business development manager and at that time took on the additional roles of project management, account management, and operations and sales strategy. Prior to joining American Greetings, he held marketing and business development positions with a leading health care system, a regional health care consulting firm, a university and a professional sports team.
