Michael Dooling, managing director of Jacaranda Partners and former chairman of Mail Boxes Etc., has joined the board of directors of iSold It, a chain of eBay drop-off stores.
Michael Dooling, managing director of Jacaranda Partners and former chairman of Mail Boxes Etc., has joined the board of directors of iSold It, a worldwide chain of eBay drop-off stores. ISold It also announced it has received $7.25 million in venture capital funding from a group of investors led by Jacaranda.
Dooling, who served as chairman of Mail Boxes Etc. when it had less than 100 stores, left the company after it was acquired in 1997.
“Mike helped Mail Box Etc. grow to more than 3,000 stores worldwide and ultimately took the company public,” said Ken Sully, CEO of iSold It. “We are on a similar path at iSold It and welcome Mike’s experience to our management team.”
ISold It has 160 franchise stores nationwide, and more than 600 franchise stores under contract. The company is registered to sell franchises in 50 states.
