The top five categories in the U.S. this holiday shopping season at Shopping.com are home and garden, electronics, clothing and accessories, computers, and kids and family, Shopping.com reports.
Gift baskets are growing in popularity at Shopping.com, with searches for gift baskets up 22% this year over last. On the toy front, searches for Neopets, virtual pets, skyrocketed more than 420% last week from the week before.
Traffic to Shopping.com for the Friday and the Monday after Thanksgiving was up 30% compared to the same days last year. Mondays continue to be the busiest traffic days at Shopping.com. Starting with the day after Thanksgiving, more shoppers have visited Shopping.com each day than on the busiest day of 2004, the company says.
Shopping.com is a comparison shopping site owned by eBay Inc. It offers more than 35 million products in 325
