Home textiles and accessories retailer Linens ‘n Things has entered the retail e-commerce wine business with the launch of LNTWines.com, it was announced today.
Presumably under the “’n Things” category, home textiles and accessories retailer Linens ‘n Things Inc. has entered the retail e-commerce wine business with the launch of LNTWines.com.
The new site, which is linked directly from Linens ‘n Things’ main e-commerce site, LNT.com, offers wine gift baskets and related products, a wine club and an online wine education program. Linens ‘n Things, No. 101 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, developed the wine site with New Vine Logistics, a Napa, CA-based provider of fulfillment, distribution and technology services for wine retailers, and Legacy Clubs Inc., also based in Napa.
"Linens-n-Things wanted to add a wine and gourmet products component to their business," NVL Chief Executive Officer Katie Schumacher said, "and their needs fit perfectly with our expertise in wine sourcing, packaging, distribution and marketing."
